I want to start off this post by thanking all of the producers / remixers / DJs / labels that continue to send great music! We don't always have time to respond to all the e-mails, but we do listen to each and every song and mix that is sent in, so be patient. If we like it, it will get posted up.
Also wanted to remind everyone that the Dancefloor Mayhem internet show is on Techno.FM every Sunday night : 6pm - 8pm Pacific Time / 9pm - 11pm Eastern Time. We feature a lot of guest DJ mixes on the show, and have had the pleasure of sharing mixes from such talent as DJ Dan, Ellen Allien, The Scumfrog, Fabrice Lig and many more.
And for those of you in Portland, don't forget to join us this Friday night @ Pala [105 NW 3rd Avenue] for Techno Mayhem! With DJs George Holland, JAK and Tronic. 21+. 9pm - late. $5 at the door. NO COVER if you are in before 10pm! See you there!
Metrofunk - Schoenhoefer 2250 :: [proggy funker] A super deep tune that is very versatile and well produced. Could fit in a tribal set, a tech set, a minimal set, etc.
Momu - Window :: [uptempo downtempo] A groovy, retro-tinged vocal track. Not quite house, but faster paced than trip-hop. This is a song off of the new full-length artist album from Momu. The album, Momentum, will be released November 11th on Looq Records.
I'd like to thank everyone for their patience. We have slowed down a bit since our big 100th post, but we are looking to pick up the pace again, starting with 7 free tracks in this post.
If you are in Portland, OR this Friday, we recommend you head over to Branx for Fubar 3, hosted by Pipedream. DJs include Kala, Mi'ka, Pipedream, Ryan Organ and Linoleum. Branx is located at 320 SE 2nd Avenue - the old B-Complex. It's a club, so 21+. I think the cover is $5. You'll hear a nice variety of music and the crowd at these parties is great!
Coming up next Friday, October 3rd, we bring you Techno Mayhem @ Pala. DJs George Holland and Jak from the SubSensory Record label will be joining Tronic on the decks to bang out the techno! Pala is at 105 NW 3rd Avenue in downtown Portland. Party goes from 9pm - late. No cover if you are in before 10pm, $5 after 10pm. 21+.
Also...we (Dancefloor Mayhem) are looking for a graphic designer to help us out. Someone who can also do web design would be awesome, but if you are just interested in digital design, that is fine. It's a non-paid, very part-time position, but we can hook you up with loads of free music and other goodies. If you are a student, we can also look into helping you get school credit if you are able to for a project such as this. Drop us a line if interested: dancefloormayhem @ gmail . com
Now for some music!!!
We'll start off with a homegrown producer, hailing from Southern Oregon - Joe Nemo. Joe is already well known in the NW for his production and DJ work, with releases on SubSensory Records, and should soon be known in the U.S. and beyond. He gave us a track called 'Headbangin' which we would like to share with you:

Next up we have a remix of one of our favorite ladies - M.I.A. This time, Loud Party takes on Boyz and turns out a great version for the dancefloor action. Loud Party is a producer in L.A. who has also remixed Daft Punk and Gillete.

One of our favorite electro producers, Le Castle Vania, has made magic once again, this time by teaming up with Computer Club.
Le Castle Vania + Computer Club - The Messiah :: This track is a remake of a classic drum-n-bass anthem (Konflict - Messiah) that has been reworked into a high energy electro banger!

This next track is also related to Le Castle Vania, in that it is released on his label, Always Never. 'Twerk It' by Rrrump is one of the tracks on their first release. Rrrump is a group of DJs and producers from Atlanta.
Rrrump - Twerk It :: 'Twerk It' is a great electro house track that will get some asses shakin'!
For the last two tracks, I have strayed a bit beyond what we normally do, but wanted to give you a couple of indie-dance tracks that I am enjoying.
First up is the original version of 'Repetition Kills You' by The Black Ghosts. The full single was just released yesterday, with remixes from RAC, Phones, Diplo, Laidback Luke, and Emperor Machine. The song itself is electro-pop glory in its finest and has guest vocals from Damon Albarn of Blur / Gorillaz.

We'll wrap things up with a new track from The Model. The Model is a producer from Philadelphia, and this track, 'What Does It Look Like I'm Doing"' is from the soon to be released album Physical.
Before he was one of the global leaders of the 'fidget house' movement, Bryan Cox was pumping out some serious bangin' house beats. Check out this classic track:
Cold Blank sent over this last track. He is a producer from Hollywood who has remixed M.I.A., Crystal Castles, and The Kills. Here he takes "The Cat" from Dusty Kid and turns out a tripped out take on the electro banger:
